alp is a designer, thinker, and writer, currently a candidate for the master of environmental design degree at yale university's school of architecture. previously, he was an architectural designer at robert a. m. stern in new york city. he holds a bachelor of architecture from cornell university.
being raised in both washington d.c. and istanbul, turkey has allowed alp to gain a deep understanding of the two different cultures and urbanisms—a critical perspective he brings to whatever he does.
alp strives to constantly think analytically about questions relating to architectural history, theory, and pedagogy, as well as near eastern studies, migration studies, and european studies.
