inspired by the phenomenon of the solar eclipse, korona has three distinct conditions of making light in space. the first, and most prominent, is back-lighting, transforming the location this luminaire is placed into an illuminating surface. the second is the filtering of light through the streaks of painted concrete on a plexiglass surface. the third is the eponymous condition of light seeping from the edges of the plexiglass creating a corona effect on the concrete frame.
