designed to have clean, modern lines while retaining the organic nature of the found wood, this table was eventually donated to my high school. crafted from walnut wood found and milled on campus, with an inlaid disc from the campus’s ancestral gum tree, the table has another meaning to so many students and teachers.
one of the two gum trees on campus was determined to be dying by early 2015, and so the decision was made to cut it down. this is the first piece of that tree to be used, highlighted in the center of the table.
